Welcome to our COVID response page. Below you’ll find all the critical information about how we are changing the way we operate to reduce the risk of COVID infection.  

Downtown High School is doing everything we can to ensure the safety of students, staff and the community.   Please check back regularly, as we will update the information here as conditions change.     REGISTER: MoMA: Heyman Family Programs

     

    Join Heyman Family Programs at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for free onsite programs/activities. Check out free resources for families onsite, including audio guides for kids, kids labels in English and Spanish, a NEW activity guide, and the programs below.

     

    Family Gallery Talks ages (4-10)

    Sat, Jan 14,10:15 a.m.– 11:30 p.m. and 2:15–3:30 p.m.

    Discover art together through engaging discussions and activities. This month’s theme is Action and Art. Online registration opens Tuesday, January 3 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is required; space is limited. CLICK HERE for more information.

     

    Family Art-Making: Art That Sends a Message

    Sat, Jan 14, 2023, 12:00–2:00 p.m.

    Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by considering fairness, justice, and the power of words through drop-in art-making activities for families. Recommended for ages six through 14. Drop in, no registration is required. Free with Museum admission. CLICK HERE for more information.

    The Heyman Family Art Lab  Daily, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Closed Christmas Day)

    In this drop-in space, kids and adults can draw, work with wire, design emoji, engage in light-box play, and more. All ages are welcome. Free with museum admission. CLICK HERE for more information.

     

    Open Art Space

    Thursdays, 4:30–6:30 p.m. (Winter Sessions start Jan 12)

    Check out Open Art Space, MoMA’s free, weekly drop-in program for LGBTQ+ teens and their allies interested in thinking about and making art in a creative and welcoming environment. Metrocards, snacks, and supplies provided. CLICK HERE for more information.
